Philip (Nick) Di Pietro is an artist born and based in Valdosta Georgia. Di Pietro works in pen and ink, charcoal, and ceramics, and is influenced by Japanese manga artists like Tite Kubo to create art with strong contrast and emphasis on line weight. Di Pietro is also influenced by Symbolist art like that of Gustav Klimt for his use of gold to make a figure transcend their beauty and his emphasis on symbolism. Di Pietro’s work balances precision and contrast with thought-provoking themes and deep personal exploration.

Di Pietro’s work was featured in the Diversity and Inclusion show in the Spring of 2022, and the Foundations Showcase at the Dedo-Maranville Gallery at Valdosta State University in the Fall of 2022. Nick Di Pietro intends to gain a masters degree in Studio Art and to build a personal studio for the creation and development of art that represents himself and his journey.
